‘An Unconventional Refining’

Good Morning Brothers and Sisters, today I am going to be sharing a message the Lord gave to me in regards to a coming ‘unconventional refinement’ which will be taking place eventually for many who have refused His calling to repentance.

I am also going to write about what a refinement looks like, at least in the normal sense and the purpose of this is to give you a choice of which you would rather have -one that is relatively merciful or one that extremely painful which will be harder to contend with when the times get really rough which I believe will be those whom are left behind because they would not heed the Lord’s calling.

A few months back, I wrote a blog when the Lord gave me a message, “I desire the proper attire at my wedding feast,” and if you have not read this, you can read that here.  About a week later, I did a podcast with my dear sister in Christ, Glynda Lomax of Just Praise Him Radio, where we presented the message as well as many verses that pertain to the topic of being united with Jesus when He returns and having on the proper attire as Christians.  If you missed that podcast, you can listen to that here

I do not discuss the topic of the rapture much, but I do believe it is real.  As to when exactly it occurs, I do not know for sure, but I did recently have a dream I shared which is posted under the love of Jesus.  I believe it is sometime near when the trumpets begin to sound.  Jesus also gave us the signs to look for in Matthew 24 and Luke 21, respectively.  We know the time is near as we are seeing many of these signs now.

On the dream I had, which was originally posted under the title “Revelations and the Love of Jesus,” you can read that here.  I will also, for reference, post verses as they pertain at the very end of this blog under referenced scriptures, other than what I will post throughout this writing as they pertain to the topic of refinement.  Back to the message.  You may have heard my recent podcast where I said don’t wait for further confirmation that things are wrong but instead, turn away from those wrongs and get right with the Lord.

If you have been following my blog then you know that I have been writing about keeping strong foundations in the last days, idolatry and The Lord gave a stern warning about this as I was praying on my blog the other night.  I have also mentioned why these are dangerous in several podcasts I have released on there being no such thing as normal anymore.  I have had a great sense of sadness after a period of calm and I could not understand where it was coming from.  As I was in prayer, having concern on whether I am reaching those the Lord desires I reach, He began to speak;

“My Son, you must continue to warn those I desire to save.  The sadness you feel is indeed of Me. It is great sadness for those who have refused My calling.  You must tell My people that I desire they turn from their idols and wickedness for I desire to show mercy unto them. They must call on Me. Those who refuse My calling will face an unconventional refining in the season you have entered.  It is not My will any should suffer but this is their choice.  My people, you must choose who you serve for there will be recompense for rebellion.”

Zechariah 13:8-9 (NLT)

Two-thirds of the people in the land
will be cut off and die,” says the Lord.
“But one-third will be left in the land.
I will bring that group through the fire
    and make them pure.
I will refine them like silver
    and purify them like gold.
They will call on my name,
    and I will answer them.
I will say, ‘These are my people,’
and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’”

When I sit and reflect on the many abominations being made, and now instances of straight up heresy, one of the things that saddens me is the judgment being stored up on this nation.  If you heard my latest podcast, look no further than these mockeries of Jesus to understand my belief on where things are in this country and why I did not celebrate, among the others I linked on in the post as it pertained to that podcast.  My friends, I plead with you to make sure you are on the right side because in what I see this is not looking good and does not end well for those who are scoffing and still on the fence.  My heart goes out to all who don’t yet realize where we are and this is one of the reasons I beat the drum to show you these things.

Picture the above warning like a window, that is perhaps open as much as an inch but that it’s slowly edging closer and closer to being closed and then locked.  Same with the wedding feast as I talked about in having on the proper attire.  The Lord is placing the warning signs all around, many as they relate to what He warned us of in Matthew 24 but many still are not listening and that time is running out.  Simply put, we don’t want to wait until the judgments begin to fall before calling on the name of the Lord.  These times of peace have been a merciful cry to us to consider our ways and call on Him.

1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (NLT)

Don’t you realize that those who do wrong will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge in sexual sin, or who worship idols, or commit adultery, or are male prostitutes, or practice homosexuality, 10 or are thieves, or greedy people, or drunkards, or are abusive, or cheat people—none of these will inherit the Kingdom of God. 11 Some of you were once like that. But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

2 Peter 3:3-10 (NLT)

Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”

They deliberately forget that God made the heavens long ago by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood. And by the same word, the present heavens and earth have been stored up for fire. They are being kept for the day of judgment, when ungodly people will be destroyed.

But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day. The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. 10 But the day of the Lord will come as unexpectedly as a thief. Then the heavens will pass away with a terrible noise, and the very elements themselves will disappear in fire, and the earth and everything on it will be found to deserve judgment.

So the tips to have here; if you are doing something that is contrary to what the Word says, you want to turn away from that sin.  This is what is known as repentance.  You will note in 1 Corinthians 6, verse 11, it says ‘some of you were once like that, but you were cleansed.’  What this means is those who turned from these sins, confessed them and began living for Christ, their past sins are no more because a new life has begun.  This is written again in Colossians 3:7.

I put emphasis on these verses because there are many out there who want to come to Jesus, but they have existential guilt that lingers and do not believe they can truly be forgiven and so they are ashamed and feel like they are already a lost clause.  Can I just tell you something?  That’s not true and that feeling of guilt is a lie by Satan.  He wants to take you to hell with him in the final judgments and that is why he will try to shame you that you are not good enough.  One of his greatest tactics is fear, guilt, lies and manipulations and he will use people you consider as friends to do it too.

Because many go along to get along, they are afraid to cut ties with those they associate with for fear that they will be made fun of or shunned and let’s be honest people do not do well with rejection.

So let me present you a question or two; Were they ever ‘true friends’ to begin with?  And might I have you consider, in the season upon us, if they are like that, what makes you think they won’t be quick to throw you under the bus when times get tough for them or betray you in the sense they think it will save their own skin?

Do you now understand how Satan works to manipulate and will use any means necessary, including people to do it?  These are the things we are told to be on guard about throughout the scriptures.  The apostle Paul wrote about many of them.

When I came back to the Lord, I put all of those sins to death and as a result, many I used to associate with considered me not to be ‘fun’ anymore.  But you know what?  My salvation, my relationship with Jesus was more important than ANY of those empty or unfulfilling things I used to do.  How could I?  He rescued me from the depths of despair.  Those ‘friends’ didn’t even keep in touch or if they did didn’t really take thought in how I really felt.  But the Lord saw it all and He rescued me from all of it and I am thankful constantly.

Sins like my past anger, drunkenness, idolatry, perverted jokes, pride, wrong relationships that were only sexual in nature -all of them were toxic and it’s amazing when you are living that life that you don’t even see it but once you do, you take a good hard look back and realize much of it was disgusting and that further brings glory to God because you are praising Him for setting you free.   Further, where ‘friends’ are concerned, you will note this in 1 Peter 4:4-5 which I just explained.

Many ministers of the faith now do the Lord’s work because they are living, breathing, walking testimonies -having been there themselves.  They are a testimony that Jesus really is who He says He is.  That He washed us clean of those sins and gave us new life.  Yes, refining does hurt to remove these and it’s not pleasant while it’s taking place, but the Lord has a way of comforting those who call on Him with true hearts and in the last days it will be harder for those who waited than it is for those who got a head start.  That is the purpose of this entry so as to bring clarity to what the Lord means by ‘unconventional refinement’ in that it means, not by normal means and there will be greater heartache to endure at a cost.  Please everyone, don’t wait to this.  It’s the saying that goes it can be done the hard way or the easy way.

1 Peter 4: 1-8, 12-19 (NLT)

So then, since Christ suffered physical pain, you must arm yourselves with the same attitude he had, and be ready to suffer, too. For if you have suffered physically for Christ, you have finished with sin.

Of course, your former friends are surprised when you no longer plunge into the flood of wild and destructive things they do. So they slander you. But remember that they will have to face God, who stands ready to judge everyone, both the living and the dead. That is why the Good News was preached to those who are now dead—so although they were destined to die like all people, they now live forever with God in the Spirit.

The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore, be earnest and disciplined in your prayers. Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.

12 Dear friends, don’t be surprised at the fiery trials you are going through, as if something strange were happening to you. 13 Instead, be very glad—for these trials make you partners with Christ in his suffering, so that you will have the wonderful joy of seeing his glory when it is revealed to all the world.

14 If you are insulted because you bear the name of Christ, you will be blessed, for the glorious Spirit of God rests upon you.“If the righteous are barely saved,
what will happen to godless sinners?”

19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

The temptations to do those past actions were put to death when we gave our lives to Christ and accepted His gift of salvation.  He came into our hearts and healed us of these transgressions and they were nailed to the cross.

Colossians 2:13-14 (NLT)

13 And when you were dead in your wrongdoings and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He made you alive together with Him, having forgiven us all our wrongdoings, 14 having canceled the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us, which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross.

Brother’s and sisters, let me encourage you and tell you that if you could not be truly forgiven, it would not be written in God’s Holy Word.  If forgiveness was not real, there would have been no reason for Jesus as our savior who never sinned, to shed His blood on that cross as a once-all sacrifice so that those past sins are covered by the blood and you are washed clean.

Colossians 3:5-10 (NLT)

So put to death the sinful, earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming.

You used to do these things when your life was still part of this world.

But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language.

Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds. 10 Put on your new nature, and be renewed as you learn to know your Creator and become like him.

Hebrews 8:12 (NKJV)

12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.”

Isaiah 43:25 (NLT)

25 “I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.

Romans 4:6-7 (NLT)

“Oh, what joy for those whose disobedience is forgiven, whose sins are put out of sight.
Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”

Jesus told us the signs to be looking for and this is what I spend a great deal of time pointing out in articles I share and in my podcasts in so many ways sharing with you the things to be keeping an eye on as they are related, not just to Luke 21 or Matthew 24 but many other places in the Word;

Luke 21:7-17 (NLT)

So they asked Him, saying, “Teacher, but when will these things be? And what sign will there be when these things are about to take place?”

And He said: “Take heed that you not be deceived. For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am He,’ and, ‘The time has drawn near.’ Therefore do not go after them. But when you hear of wars and commotions, do not be terrified; for these things must come to pass first, but the end will not come immediately.”

10 Then He said to them, “Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. 11 And there will be great earthquakes in various places, and famines and pestilences; and there will be fearful sights and great signs from heaven. 12 But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and prisons. You will be brought before kings and rulers for My name’s sake. 13 But it will turn out for you as an occasion for testimony.

14 Therefore settle it in your hearts not to meditate beforehand on what you will answer; 15 for I will give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. 16 You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. 17 And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. 18 But not a hair of your head shall be lost. 19 By your patience possess your souls.

20 “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation is near. 21 Then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains, let those who are in the midst of her depart, and let not those who are in the country enter her. 22 For these are the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled. 23 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! For there will be great distress in the land and wrath upon this people. 24 And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.

Note verses 16-19, because patience, as mentioned in verse 19 is going to be key and I believe many of us are already being tried and tested now so as to be able to withstand such things because the times are becoming very evil and perilous.  They are becoming very trying and will require the peace of Christ to navigate the storm.  This is another example of why we want to be ready because we do not know the day or hour of the Lord’s return and in this season that could come at any time and so the key is to be ready and vigilant and this is one of the reasons I give you the signs to be looking out for given all the things we are seeing right before us already under way.  I spoke of this in my opening and as it pertains in Matthew 24:36-44 Jesus told us;

Matthew 24:36-44 (NLT)

36 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. 37 But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 38 For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, 39 and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. 40 Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41 Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. 42 Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. 43 But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. 44 Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.

Revelation 14:12 (NLT)

12 This means that God’s holy people must endure persecution patiently, obeying his commands and maintaining their faith in Jesus.

We need to be watchful that we remain faithful and do not experience the final judgments.  This is all key to humbling oneself and focusing on what they know they need to do by conviction.  That is also what is meant by having a ‘healthy fear’ of the Lord meaning that we are obedient to His calling.  This does not mean we are not going to shed tears sometimes and enjoy what is taking place, but the key is remaining in our faith and not slipping away.

Matthew 24:45-51 (NLT)

45 “Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his master made ruler over his household, to give them food in due season? 46 Blessed is that servant whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing. 47 Assuredly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But if that evil servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ 49 and begins to beat his fellow servants, and to eat and drink with the drunkards, 50 the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him and at an hour that he is not aware of, 51 and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the hypocrites. There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

My fellow brothers and sisters, my sister in Christ, Glynda Lomax from Just Praise Him also released a message today that is very pertinent to some of what I wrote here.  I recommend checking that out as well.

It is my prayer this resonates for those who need to read it.  As in what I have written here and shared from Just Praise Him, we do not want the words of the prophets to apply to us.  We want to be found waiting on the Lord and dressed in the proper attire to meet the groom with plenty of oil in our lamps.  Do not be like the bridesmaids who were locked out of the wedding reception because they were asleep and unprepared when the groom came to gather everyone and they had to run out to get the oil for their lamps.  By then, it was too late.  And last but not least, please do not be found being one of the mockers as was illustrated above in 2 Peter 3:4-5.   Stay in prayer my friends, that we are found doing the Lord’s will and worthy to escape these horrors.  In all of this always remember the promises of Matthew 5:3-11 (below).

I love you all.  Stay safe out there.  May our Lord Jesus Bless You.

Acts 13:40-41 (NLT)

40 Be careful! Don’t let the prophets’ words apply to you. For they said,

41 ‘Look, you mockers,
    be amazed and die!
For I am doing something in your own day,
    something you wouldn’t believe
even if someone told you about it.’”

Matthew 25:1-12 (NLT)

“Then the Kingdom of Heaven will be like ten bridesmaids who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise. The five who were foolish didn’t take enough olive oil for their lamps, but the other five were wise enough to take along extra oil. When the bridegroom was delayed, they all became drowsy and fell asleep.

“At midnight they were roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’

“All the bridesmaids got up and prepared their lamps. Then the five foolish ones asked the others, ‘Please give us some of your oil because our lamps are going out.’

“But the others replied, ‘We don’t have enough for all of us. Go to a shop and buy some for yourselves.’

10 “But while they were gone to buy oil, the bridegroom came. Then those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was locked. 11 Later, when the other five bridesmaids returned, they stood outside, calling, ‘Lord! Lord! Open the door for us!’

12 “But he called back, ‘Believe me, I don’t know you!’

Matthew 5:3-11 (NLT)

“God blesses those who are poor and realize their need for him,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.
God blesses those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
God blesses those who are humble,
for they will inherit the whole earth.
God blesses those who hunger and thirst for justice,
    for they will be satisfied.
God blesses those who are merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
God blesses those whose hearts are pure,
    for they will see God.
God blesses those who work for peace,
for they will be called the children of God.
10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right,
for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.

  1. EXCELLENT Post, Ray!!! I really enjoyed reading this. I hope others take heed. I join you in praying they will turn now from the world and accept Christ. The time is really short and the longer they wait, the more difficult it will be for them.

  2. Thank you Ray. I went through a fiery trial in 2018/2019 which was a really tough experience. At the time, I didn’t understand why but when 2020 came around, I understood – Jesus was preparing me for what lay ahead. I began to draw closer to Him in 2018/2019 and so, by 2020, I had a much more intimate relationship with Him and had a prayer life established which deepened further during the lock-down. The fiery trial was actually His mercy and I’m now very thankful that I went through it. I find that it’s during times of hardship and suffering that Jesus reveals Himself to me and draws me close to Him. Had I not gone through that fiery trial, I would have found lock-down, etc. much harder to bear. I also may have wavered in my faith and fallen into the trap of succumbing to the fear.
I’m also a ‘prodigal daughter’ and I testify to the mercy of God. I too thought I had gone so far away that I couldn’t go back to Him. But I did and it was the best decision I ever made.

    1. Wow what an amazing testimony! Would you believe it if I told you I went through an identical experience at the same time? In 2018 I was wrongly accused in regards to a family matter (which was a misunderstanding) and by court order, could not return to my home for months even though the person involved was being allowed to stay in my house out of the goodness in my heart because they had nowhere else to go. I won my case, but not until after thousands were spent on a lawyer and other accommodations. I lost my job months later before the end of the year. I was there for over ten years but they didn’t give a hoot about me and played favoritism. Was easier to get rid of me and quite a few others for reasons of ‘downsizing’ and cost cutting -not that my heart was in it anymore, but still. They would ask me to set goals which was hard to do because they kept axing positions and outsourcing. Nope, I was just a number and expendable.

I then worked at a temp job where I wasn’t feeling appreciated either and it was so depressing and redundant, I flat out didn’t go back one dark, cold, rainy and windy morning. Then began my wilderness in April of 2019. Could not find a job to no avail, my so called ‘friends’ at the time stopped keeping in touch except to ask me here and there if I had a job yet -never any offer to help in any other way. Not even moral support. Their response was a simple, “Oh.” More or less the ‘sucks to be you’ attitude or the proverbial shrug -and some were well off and able and didn’t do anything. No, that new flat screen television or iphone they bought and bragged about was more important than someone who barely had food. I would get told to go to a library to use the internet to cut expenses with no thought of how I could use a car that had no insurance since I couldn’t pay for it.

You know, it fulfills the parable of someone in need of a coat or food and someone says ‘be blessed, I will pray for you! Or, ‘I love you in the Lord! Have a great day!’ and they do nothing. A few times my cell phone bill was due and I debated even paying it (for which I had to borrow money to pay) and thought about just allowing it to be shut off. I thought, ‘what was the point?’ Perhaps they saw me as an obligation. I don’t know and perhaps I never will. It really doesn’t matter anymore. It’s forgiven but I don’t reach out to them. -Know them by their fruits.

Needless to say in all of this, I was devastated and didn’t know what I did to deserve all that. At first, I had no idea I was in a wilderness and I drifted the wrong way for months; drinking and smoking my days away, sexual sin, etc. In other words, anything I could do to numb myself as I was so lost. I began to question my reason for existing or living. Here I was without a job, getting sass by family that I was being picky even though nobody would hire me, no friends, and credit cards maxed and in collection. I was ready to give up. I literally was having chest pains at one point. I had a broken heart. I didn’t feel loved or much less really cared about. I was devastated and ‘friends’ I had helped for years, even in moral support were nowhere to be found, conveniently. Even my immediate family, though they helped, really had no idea how I felt inside. Well then the Lord reached out to me one night and that’s when my life changed. What I didn’t realize was that God was looking after me that He had a greater purpose for my life and that He was protecting me from what would eventually come, which came to be understood in March 2020. Once that occurred I suspected the industry I used to work in (healthcare admin) would start placating everyone with the jab once one became available and turns out this year I was right about that when the company I was previously employed with said every employee needed to be V’d by the beginning of November or they would consider it a ‘voluntary’ separation of employment.

My wilderness lasted for almost TWO years but looking back now, I am thankful for it. Throughout it all I have read my Bible, got to know my savior and found out so many things about myself I needed to change (repent of). It really puts it into perspective how, despite suffering in a wilderness and being refined, that God has a bigger plan and that His ways are so above our own we often times fall so short because we try to use our own understanding rather than asking our Heavenly Father for wisdom -which by the way, you can never get enough of.

HE IS INDEED SO MERCIFUL if only so many would see that and THAT is why He refines us! HE LOVES US!

I don’t know if I would have succumbed to the fear as the Lord’s timing was perfect to protect me, but I likely would have left my job because I was always aware of the globalists evil plans since at least 2008/2009 and I likely would have drawn the line right there, just as many are having to do with ‘loved ones’ and ‘friends’ -you know, those who carelessly throw that word ‘Love’ around but really don’t understand what it means or appreciate those who have previously shown them great mercy or helped them when they were in need. It’s perplexing but it is what it is. I too am that prodigal son, extremely grateful, but at times, still in search of where I fit in with all of this as there are many times I feel alone but I know Jesus is with me and hears my cries. But then I have to remember that many of Christ’s apostles as well as the prophets, had to go it alone. Jesus did as well in the wilderness and even when he taught was mocked, persecuted, and taunted.

      This world truly is evil.

I really wish more Christians would stick together and help one another but the overall ‘amen’ in most doesn’t amount to much, sadly. I do the the teachings, I reveal stuff and discuss it and people hear it, but then what? Are they expecting someone else to do it while critiquing?

We are supposed to honor each other (Romans 12:10) and so Audrey, be consoled that, when you come over to my blog and write your comments, know just how much that really can lift me up and how much I really do appreciate it because there are some days (sometimes weeks) where things are silent and I get the impression many just don’t care. But I know who I serve and the Lord has told me time and time again, THEY WILL SEE.

Indeed they will as we all have a part to play, we all have a gift and we will be held accountable when we stand before the Lord and answer to Him how we spent these last days and our treatment of others or lack thereof. His Word says so in Matthew 25.

Thank you Audrey and may our Lord Jesus bless you extensively!

  3. Gosh, that was a really hard time you went through. In times of trial, we do find out who really cares about us and who doesn’t. I have learned so much about the Lord since 2020 – He has been, and is, my constant companion. We know He will never leave us or abandon us. I can’t go one day now without spending time in worship and in quiet contemplation with Him. His ways are not our ways!

    1. Amen. I am 200% in agreement with you on that. I am still a lot and the Lord reassures me. In all the madness that is of the world anymore, sometimes that’s the only thing that matters. God Bless you Audrey.
