New Podcast: Differing Viewpoints vs. The WORD

On this episode of the Innocence Redeemed Podcast, I will be talking about subjects causing divisions in marriages and examples elsewhere.  I will also be tying in how these are snares tempting us into sin and that sometimes letting go and giving these problems to the Lord is the best thing to do depending on the situation so that we are not led into temptations of anger, bitterness or unforgiveness.  I will also be setting some facts straight to alleviate some apparent confusion.

Verses as they pertain to this podcast;

Galatians 1:10 (KJV)

For do I now persuade men, or God?  or do I seek to please men?  for if I yet pleased men, I should not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 4:16 (KJV)

Am I therefore your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

Galatians 5:22-23 (NKJV)

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.

Matthew 5:9-11 (NLT)

God blesses those who work for peace, for they will be called the children of God.

10 God blesses those who are persecuted for doing right, for the Kingdom of Heaven is theirs.

11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers.

Matthew 7:6 (NLT)

“Don’t waste what is holy on people who are unholy. Don’t throw your pearls to pigs! They will trample the pearls, then turn and attack you.

Matthew 7:12 (NLT)

12 “Do to others whatever you would like them to do to you. This is the essence of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

Ephesians 4:3 (NLT)

Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace.

Psalm 34:14 (NLT)

14 Turn away from evil and do good.  Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Hebrews 12:15 (NLT)

15 Look after each other so that none of you fails to receive the grace of God. Watch out that no poisonous root of bitterness grows up to trouble you, corrupting many.

2 Corinthians 6:14 (NLT)

14 Don’t team up with those who are unbelievers. How can righteousness be a partner with wickedness? How can light live with darkness?

1 Corinthians 7:11, 13-16 (NLT)

11 But if she does leave him, let her remain single or else be reconciled to him. And the husband must not leave his wife.

13 And if a believing woman has a husband who is not a believer and he is willing to continue living with her, she must not leave him.

14 For the believing wife brings holiness to her marriage, and the believing husband brings holiness to his marriage. Otherwise, your children would not be holy, but now they are holy.

15 (But if the husband or wife who isn’t a believer insists on leaving, let them go. In such cases the believing husband or wife is no longer bound to the other, for God has called you to live in peace.

Mark 8:36-37 (NLT)

36 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?  37 Is anything worth more than your soul?

Matthew 16:26 (NLT)

26 And what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?   Is anything worth more than your soul?

1 Corinthians 7: 2-5 (NLT)

But because there is so much sexual immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman should have her own husband.

The husband should fulfill his wife’s sexual needs, and the wife should fulfill her husband’s needs. The wife gives authority over her body to her husband, and the husband gives authority over his body to his wife.

Do not deprive each other of sexual relations, unless you both agree to refrain from sexual intimacy for a limited time so you can give yourselves more completely to prayer. Afterward, you should come together again so that Satan won’t be able to tempt you because of your lack of self-control.

Proverbs 16:18-19 (NLT)

18 Pride goes before destruction, and haughtiness before a fall.

19 Better to live humbly with the poor than to share plunder with the proud.

17 Never stop praying.

Matthew 10:24 (NKJV)

24 “A disciple is not above his teacher, nor a servant above his master.

16 “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.

Daniel 7:25 (KJV)

25 And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

1 John 2:15 (NKJV)

15 Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Matthew 7:3 (NKJV)

3 And why do you look at the speck in your brother’s eye, but do not consider the plank in your own eye?

Romans 8:36-37 (NKJV)

36 As it is written:

“For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.”

37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

Matthew 24:9 (NKJV)

9 “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake.

Matthew 10:35 (NKJV)

35 For I have come to ‘set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law’;

Psalm 62:4 (NLT)

4 They plan to topple me from my high position. They delight in telling lies about me. They praise me to my face but curse me in their hearts.

Psalm 38:13-14 (NLT)

13 But I am deaf to all their threats. I am silent before them as one who cannot speak.

14 I choose to hear nothing, and I make no reply.

Mark 3: 23-26 (NKJV)

23 So He called them to Himself and said to them in parables: “How can Satan cast out Satan? 24 If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand. 25 And if a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand. 26 And if Satan has risen up against himself, and is divided, he cannot stand, but has an end.

And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink;

22 For so you will heap coals of fire on his head,
And the Lord will reward you.

  1. Brother Ray, it might be like I’m gushing, but I know this is your finest by far and the greatest podcast you’ve ever done in your ministry. This is all I can say, because I’m kind of choked up about Sister M., and so much of what has been shared. Jesus knows and sees every little thing, and this podcast isn’t little.

    1. It is a heavy topic to address but sometimes to get to solutions you have to look to what the Word says about the obstacles. I give thanks to and for Sister M for allowing me to share what she is contending with in hopes that it can be relatable to others. I gave others the chance to participate but the feedback has not been all too great lately and so it is what it is. Thank you Brother, for being a great friend!
