On this episode of the Innocence Redeemed podcast, I will be talking about how many professing Christians celebrate Halloween under the guise of an innocent approach and how celebrating Halloween is anything but innocent but rather a deception and the reasons why we should not be celebrating it as it pertains to scripture.
Article I read in this podcast:
Why Christians Should Absolutely Not Celebrate Halloween
Verses referenced in this podcast (I tried to keep them best in the order which I spoke them or referenced in the podcast):

Matthew 18:6-7 (NKJV)
6 “But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. 7 Woe to the world because of offenses! For offenses must come, but woe to that man by whom the offense comes!
2 Corinthians 11:14 (NKJV)
14 And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
2 Cornthians 6:14, 17 (NKJV)
14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
17 Therefore “Come out from among them And be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, And I will receive you.”
Revelation 18: 4-5 (NKJV)

1 Timothy 4:1-2 (NKJV)
Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last times some will turn away from the true faith; they will follow deceptive spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2 These people are hypocrites and liars, and their consciences are dead.
Isaiah 8:19-20 (NKJV)
19 And when they say to you, “Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead on behalf of the living? 20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
3 John 1:11 (NKJV)
11 Beloved, do not imitate what is evil, but what is good. He who does good is of God, but he who does evil has not seen God.
Isaiah 5:20 (NKJV)

Matthew 5:14-16 (NKJV)
14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.
Galatians 5:19-21 (NKJV)
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
2 Timothy 2:19-21 (NLT)
19 But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The LORD knows those who are his,” and “All who belong to the LORD must turn away from evil.”
20 In a wealthy home some utensils are made of gold and silver, and some are made of wood and clay. The expensive utensils are used for special occasions, and the cheap ones are for everyday use.

So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

And what is the measure of my days,
That I may know how frail I am.
Thank you so much for this timely message. Isn’t it curious to consider that “Halloween,” as we know it today in the United States, has only manifested in its present form for about 100 years. The lure is sweetness with the candy and the treats and the revelry. And the targets and pawns are children at the core of it, but also anyone else who joins the party. Out of affection for children, unwitting adults spend tens of millions of dollars annually feeding the commercial venture, not ever giving thought about the heart of the matter. Never knowing what they’re playing with. Steal, kill and destroy indeed. Wickedness knows no moral boundaries, will use anything to advance its agenda, will feed off the best and highest of human emotions and visceral impulses, and loves operating in darkness. So, when some people look at you like you have three eyes for not celebrating Halloween, or call you heartless, or have the misplaced gall to get angry or irritated with you, it’s then that you’ll know your discernment is spot on.
Thank you for your comment brother. It’s always refreshing to hear various perspectives.
This topic is heavy on my heart this year. Finally realizing I need to break up for good with this “holiday.” Thank you for the excellent message!
Jesus Bless you Sheryl. Many of us were duped into thinking it was innocent at one time or another. You’re not alone. Thank you for listening.
