Hearing Him

In my recent blogs I have written about putting on the proper attire for the wedding and the calling to repentance, those that the Lord desires to reach -those He desires to save.  In these blogs, I point out where we are in the timeline as well as what we need to do to be ready to be united with our Lord and Savior.  You will notice that many of these relate to what I have written about and how they are all connected.

Separately, I have shared the dreams the Lord has given me where others would not listen.  These are frightful and my heart is saddened considering I see it daily and where everything is headed.

That said, today I would like to talk about how we hear Him.  In the times coming it will be vitally important to hear the Lord when He tells us to get out of the way -when He is rescuing us from danger.  In short, how do we hear Him?  We start by calling on Him and seeking repentance in the means that we are whole-heartedly facing conviction in our hearts that we have sinned, confessing those sins, and calling on Him daily to begin the healing.  This is the first step.  I have mentioned before that if you are unsure of whether or not something is a sin that you need to call on the Lord with a true heart and ask Him to reveal to you the sin He desires you to repent of.  One thing I can assure you is, if you seek Him without haste and don’t put it off so as to continue in the sin because you enjoy doing the sin more than seeking His redemption, He will reveal this to you.  You don’t want to keep wavering however, because you don’t want to be given over to a reprobate mind.

Now does it mean that you will become successful overnight in putting to death the sin you struggle with?  It’s possible but not for everyone. However, I have heard of this happening with certain individuals.   The more difficult ones often take learning by trial and error and this is where ‘putting on the proper garments’ or learning His Word and consuming it is important. If you can believe His Word and what it says then you can believe for anything if your belief does not waver -and that includes believing how Jesus healed many and has already healed you when you understand He overcame the world when He died on the cross for our sins and was risen so that we all may have life in Him.  That is the start of your healing and walk with Him.  Forgiveness, repentance and salvation are all grounded in the testimony that is of Jesus Christ.  For without our savior Jesus, nothing else is possible. I sought the Lord daily and one day in prayer I heard ‘You are healed.’

We cannot do it on our own.  The biggest mistake many often make (and I did this too at first until I came to this valuable understanding) is that if we just stop and try to avoid the sin on our own, it will just go away.  That could not be further from the truth -because it won’t disappear by our own efforts and if you are trying to keep a form of the law, that is a blatant disregard to our savior.  We need to crave His presence daily so that He begins to work within us.  That is done by drawing near to Him.  Admitting we have fault and confessing we NEED HIM.  He will not hear our prayer if we aren’t up front about our sins.

When we don’t rely on the power of prayer and His spirit guiding us, the first thing that often times will happen is temptation by the devil when random things in our lives begin to go wrong.  It then opens the door way to do the sin to make ourselves feel better and that is a bad pattern because then it can lead us to justify the sin was okay simply because what we thought was our idea of repentance didn’t work out like we thought it should.  So repentance takes shape by calling on Him and relying on Him to break those chains and set us free because that’s exactly why Jesus died for us.

You should also know that, though your sins may be many, He often will not have you stop everything at once.  For some it may be different, but He meets each of us where we are and only He knows what is best to heal each and every one of us.  He knows you are human after all, and attempting such would be a recipe for disaster and failure and that is not what Jesus is in the business of doing.   In regards to when I returned to Him from being lost in the world for so long, He worked on one thing at a time and I was backslidden for a number of years.

Actually, for me as my memory serves, it was two, He had me focus on at first and from there giving up the others to Him was easier for me because then I understood what He required to set me free.  My faith, my trust in Him in letting go of what was familiar for so long.  It’s starts there. He desires all of you and desires nothing less; All of your burdens, concerns, all of your weaknesses, all of your complaints, frustrations and grievances -all of it.  He desires to wash you clean of all of it and start anew.

Once you get into the pattern of releasing it all and letting go, He will show you how to overcome and put to death the evil desires of the heart because He will create within you a new heart.  A heart in which He is established.  You’ll know when this occurs because that which you used to partake in will become undesirable.  If you do not give up on Him, He will not give up on you.  He doesn’t call on sinners to come to Him if He didn’t intend to finish what He called you for -the spirit of repentance He started in you.

Learning His Word and daily prayers coupled with confession are tantamount in letting go of all of it (and letting go of the past that were the chains of sin holding you down). Understanding how He desires we live.  If you lack wisdom in understanding what the Word says, ask Him for wisdom and He will give it to you.  Don’t put it off though.  Don’t say ‘well today I don’t feel like it’ or ‘I just don’t have the time.’  Be careful because when you waver this will give a foothold to the enemy to come in and take what little progress you have already made.  Then you are left with the impression you have to start all over -and then you feel like you are starting all over.  I write of this because I had to learn this myself.

The pattern repeated quite a few times before I made a determined commitment.  He never gave up on me because He knew that I longed so much to return to Him and heed His calling.  And that’s another thing; Don’t give up!  It may seem hopeless at first, but I assure you, it’s not!  If you subscribe to the mindset that it’s hopeless the first two or three times you fall down, then of course it will make it more difficult.  Like a newborn you are learning how to walk.  How does a child learn how to walk?  By stumbling quite a few times.  It hurts but you’re on your way to learning how to walk -and this time with Him!

It’s far better to be of the belief that you know He is calling on you (and chances are if you are new to the faith or returning as a prodigal son or daughter you are reading this for a reason) by conviction in that you know He desires you to seek Him as the Lord.  Jesus is not only the cornerstone but also the stepping stone to getting right with Him. It is being led by the Spirit of Christ that enables us to do His will and put to death those sins and that all begins by calling on Him.  He does it, not you, and it brings Him all the glory!

I mentioned briefly at the beginning about the importance of hearing the Lord when He speaks and this will prove to be important in the times going forward.  Particularly the coming storm which will be of unimaginable proportions -think several things going wrong at once; sheer evil upon the Earth.  The very reason I talk about the need of repentance is because that is the first step to teach in leading the lost to redemption in Christ.

Many will have the question of why they don’t hear the Lord or how are we to hear Him.  The Word states in many places that confession of sin and repentance are required before He will hear our prayers and the same, before we will hear back from Him.  It’s up to each of us to determine how far our relationship with Jesus will go -there really is no end how high He can take you.

In 2 Timothy 3 we are warned how people will behave in the last days and verse 5 specifically mentions that in the last days people will reject the power that would make them Godly.  There is a reason this was written by Paul to show us what the conduct would be of many in the last days -some who even claim to belong to Christ but their actions do not reflect it.  Do not be one of them and if you associate with anyone like that come out from among them as the Word instructs us to do.  Take up your cross by nailing your sins to it and follow Jesus.

If you are living contrary to what the Word teaches, after Christ died for you, should you be shocked at all, to find that He first desires you to clothe yourself in the proper attire that is of His teachings and the foundation of who He is before you can hear Him?  Repentance is needed first and our country is the pinnacle of demonstrating this given by the evil we have allowed to spiral out of control for a long time.  I have written on this extensively so as to shine light on what these abominations are.  Once you have been witnessed to about these you either feel a conviction or reject it.  Consider when you reject this truth you are rejecting Christ because the Lord does not embrace these evils nor smile on them.  Either way, you will have to make a choice.  While it may be too late for the country as a whole, I say that if you are still able to seek the Lord while He may be found then now is your chance to do so.

Understanding how to hear the Lord could mean your very life at some point.  He may desire you to relocate or you could be in a situation where you are unknowingly in danger.  In those times He will be your guidance; He will be your shining light in the darkness to guide you through.

Our Father in Heaven is more merciful than you could ever imagine.  Once you are seeking the Lord Jesus with a pure heart and begin walking with Him in faith, you will know His mercies so much that you will give Him praise when He rescues you from grave situations and gives you the wisdom to know how to stand strong against these in the faith.

To put this into perspective, I will give an example of hearing from Him when in potential danger to show you how He can work in those who follow Him.  Not only was it the grace of the Lord who gave me the bullet points to write on hearing Him, but pretty much every single entry I have made on this blog.  The only few He did not specifically tell me to write were the ones where I expose what’s taking place but even then, I felt the drive in my heart to share that information because people need to first see where things are in the world before they can see how it relates spiritually and what they should do.  It is HE that establishes all of my works.  It is HE who establishes all of the topics I write about and to HIM I give the glory and praise.

This morning, I was in a deep sleep and I heard the words ‘I will set off the smoke alarm.’  I thought I was just dreaming but it woke me up.  It was around 3:30 AM.  I laid there for a moment in silence and as soon as I closed my eyes again to go back to sleep, not even a few seconds later, I kid you not, the smoke detectors all throughout my home began to sound -when one goes off, they ALL go off.  Of course, I immediately jumped out of bed to see what was going on.  I noticed my brother’s bedroom door was wide open and his light was on and as I approached his bedroom, I smelled something burning.  At first, I wasn’t even sure what it was but his room was filled with smoke.  I didn’t see anything on fire and then I looked down the stairs and he was outside, walking back into the house.

It turns out, he was laying in bed using his phone and it began to smoke and caught fire right in his hand.  He took it outside and threw it in the rocks and doused it with water.  So then it made sense, the smell was the combination of burning plastic and the chemical smell of the lithium battery which appears to have overheated or something.  Though he was in a panic, I was perfectly calm.  I simply went around opening windows.  Either way, minus a burn on his hand and being shaken up, my brother was okay.

Here is what the phone looked like after my brother doused it with water.

After the commotion I immediately reflected that the Lord woke me up just before those smoke detectors went off.  So, since I was already working on this blog entry I thought that was a great testimony to show that He does and will communicate to those He speaks to in the event they are facing danger.  Now someone may say ‘well the smoke alarms would have gone off anyway.’  That’s a fair assumption if that’s what you believe, but what if there was a situation where you were in danger by another means and you didn’t have any other warning?  What if you lived in a seismically active area where an earthquake could happen?  I have heard of situations where others were warned they were in danger of another person harming them or having the intent to kill them.  Hearing Him is everything.

So you see, those walking close to Him will be forewarned, not only of what’s coming so as to prepare and warn others as I do, but how He will protect those who are walking close with Him in obedience.  Needless to say, I spent a good portion of the morning praising the Lord.  Giving thanks to Him.  Worshipping Him.

My friend, I leave you with this; Do not miss the chance to turn to the Lord in repentance and seek His redemption.  Do not miss the opportunity to clothe yourself in His love and walk in His ways.  He does desire to save you.  He does desire for you and all of His children to hear Him.

There will be a podcast being released soon by my dear friend and sister in Christ, Glynda Lomax of Just Praise Him in regards to having on the proper wedding attire as it relates to the uniting of the Bride-Groom.  Don’t miss it! A lot of important information in that podcast and I will be linking to it in this blog entry here as soon as it goes up.

It is my prayer that this writing is a blessing to you and I am leaning toward even beginning a podcast with all the recent revelations I have been getting on this.  I feel the Lord is nowhere near done yet.  I leave you with one final question to ask yourself; Are your eyes open or are they shut?  You can decide.  Don’t wait.

Jesus Bless You.  Make it a great weekend!

Verses as they pertain to the above;

1 Peter 3:12 (NLT)

12 The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right, and his ears are open to their prayers. But the Lord turns his face against those who do evil.

1 Thessalonians 2:13 (NLT)

13 Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe.

2 Timothy 3: 1-5 (NLT)

You should know this, Timothy, that in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Galatians 3:2 (NLT)

Let me ask you this one question: Did you receive the Holy Spirit by obeying the law of Moses? Of course not! You received the Spirit because you believed the message you heard about Christ.

Isaiah 29: 9-16 (NLT) -as it relates to those who won’t believe the truth and follow their own wisdom or false doctrine/teachings.

Are you amazed and incredulous?
    Don’t you believe it?
Then go ahead and be blind.
You are stupid, but not from wine!
You stagger, but not from liquor!
10 For the Lord has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep.
He has closed the eyes of your prophets and visionaries.

11 All the future events in this vision are like a sealed book to them. When you give it to those who can read, they will say, “We can’t read it because it is sealed.” 12 When you give it to those who cannot read, they will say, “We don’t know how to read.”

13 And so the Lord says,
“These people say they are mine.
They honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
And their worship of me
is nothing but man-made rules learned by rote.
14 Because of this, I will once again astound these hypocrites
    with amazing wonders.
The wisdom of the wise will pass away,
and the intelligence of the intelligent will disappear.”

15 What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the Lord,
who do their evil deeds in the dark!
“The Lord can’t see us,” they say.
“He doesn’t know what’s going on!”
16 How foolish can you be?
He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay!
Should the created thing say of the one who made it,
    “He didn’t make me”?
Does a jar ever say,
“The potter who made me is stupid”?

Isaiah 59: 1-2 (NLT)

Listen! The Lord’s arm is not too weak to save you, nor is his ear too deaf to hear you call. It’s your sins that have cut you off from God. Because of your sins, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.

James 1: 22-24 (NLT)

22 But don’t just listen to God’s word. You must do what it says. Otherwise, you are only fooling yourselves. 23 For if you listen to the word and don’t obey, it is like glancing at your face in a mirror. 24 You see yourself, walk away, and forget what you look like.

John 8: 42-44 (NLT)

42 Jesus told them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, because I have come to you from God. I am not here on my own, but he sent me. 43 Why can’t you understand what I am saying? It’s because you can’t even hear me! 44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

John 9:31 (NLT)

31 We know that God doesn’t listen to sinners, but he is ready to hear those who worship him and do his will.

John 12: 37-43, 45 (NLT)

37 But despite all the miraculous signs Jesus had done, most of the people still did not believe in him. 38 This is exactly what Isaiah the prophet had predicted:

Lord, who has believed our message?
To whom has the Lord revealed his powerful arm?”

39 But the people couldn’t believe, for as Isaiah also said,

40 “The Lord has blinded their eyes
    and hardened their hearts—
so that their eyes cannot see,
    and their hearts cannot understand,
and they cannot turn to me
    and have me heal them.”

41 Isaiah was referring to Jesus when he said this, because he saw the future and spoke of the Messiah’s glory.

43 For they loved human praise more than the praise of God.

44 Jesus shouted to the crowds, “If you trust me, you are trusting not only me, but also God who sent me. 45 For when you see me, you are seeing the one who sent me.

Matthew 7:24-27 (NLT)

24 “Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock. 25 Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock. 26 But anyone who hears my teaching and doesn’t obey it is foolish, like a person who builds a house on sand. 27 When the rains and floods come and the winds beat against that house, it will collapse with a mighty crash.”

Matthew 13: 16-17, 19-23 (NLT)

16 “But blessed are your eyes, because they see; and your ears, because they hear. 17 I tell you the truth, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see, but they didn’t see it. And they longed to hear what you hear, but they didn’t hear it.

19 The seed that fell on the footpath represents those who hear the message about the Kingdom and don’t understand it. Then the evil one comes and snatches away the seed that was planted in their hearts. 20 The seed on the rocky soil represents those who hear the message and immediately receive it with joy. 21 But since they don’t have deep roots, they don’t last long. They fall away as soon as they have problems or are persecuted for believing God’s word. 22 The seed that fell among the thorns represents those who hear God’s word, but all too quickly the message is crowded out by the worries of this life and the lure of wealth, so no fruit is produced. 23 The seed that fell on good soil represents those who truly hear and understand God’s word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!”

Psalm 34: 1-3, 5, 7-9 (NLT)

I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
I will boast only in the Lord;
let all who are helpless take heart.
Come, let us tell of the Lord’s greatness;
let us exalt his name together.

Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy;
no shadow of shame will darken their faces.

For the angel of the Lord is a guard;
he surrounds and defends all who fear him.

Taste and see that the Lord is good.
Oh, the joys of those who take refuge in him!
Fear the Lord, you his godly people,
for those who fear him will have all they need.

Psalm 66: 16-20 (NLT)

16 Come and listen, all you who fear God,
and I will tell you what he did for me.
17 For I cried out to him for help,
    praising him as I spoke.
18 If I had not confessed the sin in my heart,
the Lord would not have listened.
19 But God did listen!
He paid attention to my prayer.
20 Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer
or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

Psalm 107: 14 (NLT)

14 He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.

Revelation 2:7 (NLT)

“Anyone with ears to hear must listen to the Spirit and understand what he is saying to the churches. To everyone who is victorious I will give fruit from the tree of life in the paradise of God.

Romans 1: 26-29 (NLT)  –Concerning the reprobate

26 That is why God abandoned them to their shameful desires. Even the women turned against the natural way to have sex and instead indulged in sex with each other. 27 And the men, instead of having normal sexual relations with women, burned with lust for each other. Men did shameful things with other men, and as a result of this sin, they suffered within themselves the penalty they deserved.

28 Since they thought it foolish to acknowledge God, he abandoned them to their foolish thinking and let them do things that should never be done. 29 Their lives became full of every kind of wickedness, sin, greed, hate, envy, murder, quarreling, deception, malicious behavior, and gossip.

Romans 10: 13-15 (NLT)

13 For “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

14 But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? 15 And how will anyone go and tell them without being sent? That is why the Scriptures say, “How beautiful are the feet of messengers who bring good news!”

  1. Thank you for your testimony. Thank you for trusting your readers. Thank you for your humility.
However, reading on a dark background is not always easy, especially when the text is long. But I am still happy to have discovered your site thanks to “Just Praise Him”and Glynda. Podcasts are too hard for me to understand, it’s a shame. (But writing is fine !)
    God bless you,
    A little flower from France,
    Martine

    1. Thank you Martine, I appreciate your support. I am in the process of also launching a podcast so I haven’t posted anything for a few days but know that when you don’t see anything posted I am at work behind the scenes studying and pulling the scripture I am intending to use for my next blog. I try to get at least three up per week but it just depends on the amount of content I am putting into it. I like to be as thorough as I can and even then sometimes I will read over it after I publish it and feel I can add more to them. Currently I am working on my next blog and first podcast concerning division in the church and I keep seeing events occur concerning with this, so I might just have to get it out the way it is, because otherwise I may never get it posted! That’s how rapidly events are developing anymore. Be on the lookout for that blog as it will be going live soon.

May the Lord bless you and keep you in His presence. Stay safe out there my friend, things are getting stranger by the day.

      1. Regarding the division in the church, I had a dream a month ago. I dreamed that I was communing. But the moment the priest gave me the wafer, it broke into pieces. I did everything I could to ensure that no piece fell to the ground. I understood the symbolic meaning.
As I am quite emotional, I notice that the Lord warns me about the dangers ahead .
Please, when you’ll do your podcast, think of those who don’t practice too much oral English…
Things have become incoherent here (and everywhere, I guess)
Godspeed to you in your coming tasks,
        Love from France.
